Mind of a Man: Brain or Spirit?

WARNING: It is a rough draft.

The Problem

Most atheists think that the mind of a man is completely located in the brain, while religions often teach that the mind is located outside of brain (in spirit) and the brain is only a link (like radio-receiver) of the mind with the body.

Both opinions have foundations:

That the mind of a man is a function of the brain is confirmed by the fact that intellectual possibilities of people often diminish when the brain is damaged.
That the mind is located outside of the brain is confirmed by the fact of out of body experiences as well as by certain para-psychological phenomena.

After long thinking and doubts it seems that I have finally found the position on this question which seem to be conforming to both modern science and Christian Bible.

Spirit in the Outer World

People from atheistic grounds as well as many Christians tend to think that people's brain are higher forms of materia and reason than the things of the outside World: weather, light of the Sun and other stars etc.

Bible indeed clearly teaches that the weather (weather is the lowest level of the spirit) is higher and much more clever than human's brains (TODO).

So, for example, weather influencing reason of our brains can inspire us an idea. A brilliant idea is inspired by the weather rather than born inside human's brain. People's brains are not enough clever for a brilliant idea. Our brains can only perceive the rhythms of the spirit (a spirit is some rhythm like music) and obtain ready to use ideas from the spirit only adapting the ideas to the concrete needs.

In simple words, the weather is more clever than brains and brains can be only pupils of the weather. However it isn't that we could be able to test IQ of the weather and find that it is above IQs of brains. Bible differentiates (TODO) between living souls and spirit (e.g. weather) which gives life (rather than lives itself). So, for example, the weather gives (inspires) ideas rather to hold to stupid for it human's ideas themselves and raises people's IQ rather than the weather would have IQ (too low level test for it) itself. The weather is not living but is above life.

The atmosphere radiates electromagnetic and other waves which penetrate inside our bodies (and brains) and we are used to live in the spirit. So we often just do not notice that we live in the spirit and that the spirit teaches us, we often mistakenly perceive ideas which we received from the spirit as the ideas of our own brains. Note that I also experienced we can see the spirit with our eyes: simply look at the blue heaven and notice flickering of the air in the rays of the Sun; yes, it is how looks the spirit at the Earth.

Like this in the above level, the weather of the Earth is only a flesh compared with stars and star winds which are spirits of higher levels etc.

Finally, there are perfect Holy Spirit which discerns the mysteries of God, and even high level spirits are just a flesh compared with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. Note however than even our human's bodies can be filled with Holy Spirit accordingly Bible!

Personality vs. Intellect

So, I realized that the intellect is located in the spirit rather in the brain. The brain accomplishes only relatively simple operations of perceiving and concretizing the ideas.

The intellect is located in the spirit. A brain can only reflect the intellect like a mirror reflects the light of a lamp not lighting by itself.

It is often taught by biblical teachers that there are human's spirit for every human and that human's spirit (as distinguished from the God's spirit and of angels) is the main part of a man having also soul and body. I doubt this opinion and think that there are probably no special human spirit, but rather that what we perceive as a human spirit is simply that part of the spirit which a particular man perceives. Well, however there may be special human's spirit in the weather or upper levels of the atmosphere but it is common for all people.

It is sure that all people have common spirit rather than separate spirits of different people.

I suppose that probably different personalities of different people is completely explained by differences of their brains which all people probably have only common spirit not a separate different spirit for every man. (However probably there exist separate human spirits for every particular man among with the common human spirit.)

Following Bible (TODO) We live accordingly spirit, not flesh. So even if our human personalities change as the result of for example a brain trauma, it is simply not important for us because the essential that is the spirit is not changed.

Does or does not a river move? The water moves but the river itself does not move. Like this even if somebody's personality changes with a change of his brain, the more important thing, the spirit in which his personality flows does not change with a change of his brain. To live accordingly the spirit means among other things to look at the flow of the spirit rather than the flow of the carnal personality which simply does not matter.

Additional Notes

A natural question to ask is what is the function and usefulness of the brain (and human's body in general) for the outside (spiritual) World. The correct answer is TODO TODO. Brains and biological life in general are useless for the upper levels (spirit).

However, accordingly Bible We live accordingly spirit not flesh. We, children of God always raise to upper levels, leaving the flesh and transforming into upper spirits.

I even believe that the recent radiation from the neutron star will make my health better rather than worse as the Spirit of God penetrates everywhere and I believe that Holy Spirit comes with the radiation from the heaven.]
