Bible about Inter-Trade Relations

In this short preaching I will show you what Jesus taught about inter-trade relations that is relations between two different economies separated with a boundary. Practical usefulness of this teaching for you is that it may help you to become richer at the time of a crisis. Well, the main thing that it teaches to be a good person.

Mark 4

21He said to them, Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn't it put on a lampstand? 22For there is nothing hidden, except that it should be made known; neither was anything made secret, but that it should come to light. 23If any man has ears to hear, let him hear.

Here Jesus starts to teach about hidden things that is things beyond a boundary which separate us with them. Jesus plainly taught that every boundary will someday fall. So, for example, the iron curtain between USSR and US has fallen.

So when we have a curtain (for example between two separate trades of different prices, between cultures, political parties etc.), we need to be prepared beforehand that it will fall. So, you should hear what is there beyond the curtain before it falls if you can.

24He said to them, Take heed what you hear. With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and more will be given to you who hear. 25For whoever has, to him will more be given, and he who doesn't have, from him will be taken away even that which he has.

The first thing we need to do is to take heed what happens there beyond the curtain. Jesus haven't said Take heed if you suspect that beyond the curtain there is something important for you. So you should hear even when that beyond a curtain seems something unimportant, for example, poors with which you seem to have no financial benefits. The thing which should make you to hear carefully is presence of a curtain itself. What if for example USA would be careful to unimportant Afghanistan as much as they was careful to other seemingly more important for them countries? There would be no base of Asama Bin Laden!

Not knowing what is beyond a curtain, how we may know what to do regarding that black box? Isn't it a black hole? Jesus, has given us a principle: With whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. It is a hard to understand principle. (Really, it is related with mathematical integrals and multi-dimensional spaces...) But what I can tell to you is that your real profit will be adequate to your real investment. This principle works always, even if you do not know and can't even guess what is there beyond the curtain. Only sometimes you may wait for the result a long time.

But if you will be careful about what is at that side, then you will get more than they. This means not that that you'd to send there spies. It isn't what is the real hearing, but you need to hear there with your heart, understand and try to value and respect these who are at that side.

Lo! The next statement of Jesus looks like a contradiction: He who doesn't have... that which he has. Does he have a property or does not have? Traditionally it is explained this way: Jesus speaks about somebody who has only a little, so firstly He neglect his little property and says about him as about not having any property but a second time as about having some property. This explanation has a kind of truth in it but the words of Jesus are always mathematically exact, so this is not an enough explanation (also because the Lord neglects nobody). The full explanation of this paradox is: Jesus tells about somebody who has some property in one economy but has nothing in an other economy. One example: an American with his bucks in the former USSR often was not able to buy anything as they have been not accepting the green paper as money. An other example: a guy having $300 often indeed cannot purchase three $100 shares as he may be not enough respected or rich to enter into the share market.

So what Jesus teaches here? He teaches: If somebody has something real in any economy (yes, even if in an economy which seems being completely failed, and his property seems to be completely useless for the outside World such as too low technology things), he will be given more. If somebody doesn't have real property in some trade, then he will loss the properties he has in all other economies!

Stop to think: If you have nothing in some economy, even an economy which is considered completely failed and useless for you, then you are guarantied bankrupt even in your home country economy where you today are a multi-millionaire! So Him, Jesus, have said.

This doesn't necessarily mean that you now should travel to every country of the World and buy there a square meter of earth to have there something. It does mean only that if you have no economical relations with some person whatever this person is, then you are guarantied bankrupt. You now may reassure yourself: I'm in a country with trade economy and directly or indirectly have some economical relations with anybody; so, Jesus has guarantied me not bankruptcy but a profit. Are you sure? Are you in relations with every homeless on the street? Well, if you are a Republican are you really in economical relations with democrats or all what you want about them to make them bankrupt? (or reversely, if you are a democrat) If there are one homeless person or one political opponent with which you have no economical relations or want only bad things (poverty) for him, Jesus guaranties you to become a bankrupt in the future.

You have something important to think. For example, I myself try to do good to everyone as far as I can, but indeed I confess that I'm not sure about myself whether I have something of all of you, or I have missed somebody (maybe homeless, politically or religiously opposed etc.) with which I may have nothing in common. We need to be careful to not miss anyone.

26He said, The Kingdom of God is as if a man should cast seed on the earth, 27and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn't know how. 28For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. 29But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come.

What is a curtain about which I was telling before? It something about which we do not know that is beyond it. So we don't know why these laws of economics Jesus taught us work regarding something unknown there beyond a curtain (that is an economical, political etc. boundary) but the laws of economics acts anyway notwithstanding of that we don't know them.

Cast your seed.

Well, all said above is not only about economics. For example, also, if you being a democrat have no common politics with Republicans, you are a completely failed politic (in the future).
